FACILITY & STAFF...
Stony Lake is an accredited camp of the American Camping Association,
maintaining high standards in health and safety, program, personnel,
training and management. EWALU is a non-profit organization
serving all people regardless of race, color, creed, sex, or
national origin and is governed by a Board of Directors. In
addition, the Simba Circle staff includes:
• trained seasoned psychologists who have long in depth
experience working with young at risk African American males.
• experienced and trained nation builders
(19-40 yrs old) who work directly with the youth.
• a council of elders (age 50 and above) who serve on
site as an advisory body as well as acting role models and
secondary care givers.
• a host of powerful and resourceful consultants.
All nation builders, elders and any other volunteers working
directly with the youth are required to have completed a minimum
of 15 hours of training. |
